The Royal Albion Hotel, Broadstairs, was built in 1760, and occupies an unrivalled position on the seafront, just a few steps from sandy Viking Bay.

Voted Shepherd Neame Pub of the Year for 2010 for its high standards of service and friendly, efficient staff, the Royal Albion has been given a £1 million refurbishment and now combines period charm with comfortable, modern facilities.

Welcome

The Royal Albion was a favourite haunt of author Charles Dickens, who stayed and wrote at the hotel before buying nearby Bleak House. The hotel remains a focal point of the town’s annual Dickens celebrations and is one of the music venues in the annual Broadstairs Folk Festival.
