Seasonal bar & restaurant staff required - full & part time hours available

The Royal Albion in Broadstairs is recruiting for seasonal bar and restaurant staff to join our team until September 2016.

Boasting a spectacular seafront location, we combine the friendly atmosphere of a local pub and restaurant together with all the comforts of a modern 21 bedroomed hotel and function venue.

We are looking for flexible team members that can work a range of either full or part time hours to include some evenings and weekends and we have immediate starts available.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for enthusiastic front of house staff that can share our passion for delivering an excellent level of customer service on the front line together with great food and drink.

Requirements:

  • First class customer service skills from any sector.
  • Former experience of working in a bar or restaurant is advantageous, however full training will be provided for the right candidates.
  • These roles will see you working a range of shift patterns to include some evenings and weekends, so you must be flexible in terms of the working hours required of you.
  • You must be over eighteen in order to serve alcohol.
  • We need great team players that are reliable and trustworthy.

The Royal Albion Hotel in Broadstairs is looking for an experienced chef to join our team on a full time and permanent basis.
 
Boasting a spectacular seafront location, we combine the friendly atmosphere of a local pub and restaurant together with all the comforts of a modern hotel and function venue.
 
We are looking for an enthusiastic chef that thrives on being in the kitchen and we will consider candidates up to a Sous Chef level as we have the ability to support and develop our chefs using our proven in-house chef’s development programme.
 
Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the kitchen producing quality food.
  • The desire to continually learn new culinary skills in the kitchen.
  • Good levels and understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and busy environment.
  • Flexibility in terms of working hours.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience at Sous or Senior Sous Chef level.
  • The ability to run the kitchen and lead a team in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Previous experience of stock ordering, rotation and management.
  • Excellent levels of health and safety.
  • Passion, enthusiasm and creativity in the kitchen.
  • You must be flexible in terms of the working hours required of you.

Housekeeper / Cleaner (Full time)

Honest and trustworthy housekeeper required

The Royal Albion in Broadstairs is looking for a full time Housekeeper to join our busy and friendly team on a permanent basis.
 
This role will see you working full time hours on a rotating shift pattern, between 08.30 and 15.00, five days a week to include some weekends.
 
Role & Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the housekeeping team, you will undertake day to day cleaning duties and will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness standards across the hotel accommodation.
  • Duties include dusting, polishing, making beds, removing rubbish, cleaning bathrooms and washing and vacuuming floors.
  • You will also be responsible for reporting any maintenance and safety issues to the management team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is advantageous not essential.
  • First class cleanliness and quality standards.
  • You must have a keen eye for detail.
  • Great customer service skills are required.
  • You must be honest and trustworthy.
  • We need great team players that are hardworking and reliable.
  • Candidates must be in good physical health as you will be on your feet for most of the shift.
  • You must be flexible in terms of the working hours required of you.
